Chitwan. The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Chanauli Distribution Centre has released the schedule of load shedding with effect from today.

Chitwan: Electricity supply to western Chitwan and Madi regions will be disrupted for six hours from today. At the same time, there has been widespread criticism that load-shedding has started.

The Centre has informed through the notice that a total of six hours of power will be cut for 393 hours due to the high demand for electricity.

According to this, electricity will be supplied to Narayani Madi feeder from 6 am to 9 am and from 3 pm to 6 pm. Similarly, power supply in Meghauli Vijaynagar feeder area will remain suspended from 9 am to 12 noon and from 6 pm to 9 pm. Similarly, electricity will remain suspended from 12 noon to 3 pm and from 9 pm to 12 pm in Jagatpur Rampur feeder area.

According to the NEA, the maximum capacity of the 33 KV dog conductor wire coming from the 132/33 KV sub-station in Bharatpur is only 300 Ampere.

According to nea, it is difficult to manage the load as the use of electricity for irrigation has increased to 450 ampere due to lack of rain, even though the heat is very high in madi area at present and it is the time of planting. In order to find a long-term solution to this situation, the construction of an alternative 33 KV transmission line through Basani substation has already started in the last fiscal year, which is under construction.

In this context, NEA has made public the power supply schedule for daily load management in various feeders of Madi area with effect from July 15. NeA has apologized for the inconvenience caused to the customers and informed that there is a possibility that the line will be restored before the mentioned time in the load management process.
