Pudasaini elected president of NRNA UK

Kathmandu. Rajendra Pudasaini has been elected president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), UK.

According to the counting of votes held last night, he defeated his two rivals Govinda Kharel and Manish Khatri.

Pudasaini secured 1,482 votes while Kharel secured 977 votes and Khatri secured 496 votes. Similarly, Ujjwal Karki, Dr Raksha Thapa and Ram Prasad Kandel were elected vice-presidents, Diwakar Pandey as general secretary, DN Kharal and Krishna Devkota as open secretaries. Bishnu Kharel and ChhabiLal Aryal were elected as members while Ram Maya Bista Thapa was elected chairman of the England State Council.

Newly-elected Chairman Pudasaini said that his main goal is to make the organization feel, find and visible when it is sought. “We have started the campaign to reach the grassroots level from today. Wherever we are, we have to live as Nepalis, as the national song of Nepal says, all Nepalis should be united by becoming a single garland of hundreds of flowers. This is his first action plan to unite all Nepalis living in the UK, he said.
