Hetauda. Indra Bahadur Baniya has been elected as the parliamentary party leader of the Bagmati State Assembly. He defeated Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama by securing 22 votes in the election held here today. According to the election committee, Chief Minister Lama received 14 votes.
One vote was invalid in the election. A total of 37 provincial assembly members took part in the election. Baniya and Lama had also contested in the previous party leader’s election.
At that time, Lama was elected as the leader of the party by securing 21 votes while Baniya got 16 votes. In today’s election, 37 provincial assembly members of nc voted.
