Paris. France’s economic growth picked up pace in the second quarter of this year despite an uncertain international environment, government data showed.

Gross domestic product (GDP), the eurozone’s second-largest economy, grew 0.3 percent between April and June from 0.1 percent in the first quarter. This is slightly higher than the 0.2 per cent growth forecast.

Foreign trade has contributed negatively to the overall GROSS domestic product (GDP) at a time when the international trade environment is uncertain due to the trade war that the United States began in April.

This is an improvement compared to 0.5 percent in the first three months of the year. This is due to the slight improvement in exports and the low rate of imports and the rapid pace of change.

Mainly due to additional food purchases, household consumer goods contributed to the growth of 0.1 percent.

“This change can be attributed to favourable weather conditions in Easter and April and May at the end of April,” in a statement issued by INSEE said. ’

Inventory growth also contributed a positive 0.5 per cent to growth in the second quarter, up from 0.7 per cent in the first three months of the year.

Lists are based on unsold finished items at the end of the period. If companies are anticipating demand or manufacturers are having trouble finding buyers, they can be a positive sign.

The growth in the second quarter list was largely due to the aerospace and auto industries. Domestic demand would not have changed had there been no benefits in the aerospace and auto industry.
