Myagdi. Myagdi: The doode (nihuro) found in the forests of the high hilly region of Myagdi has become a source of income after getting market.

Until a few years ago, the people living in rural areas have started creating a source of income after the sale of decaying seeds in the forest. Dilip Garbuja, ward chair of Annapurna Rural Municipality-1, Dowa, said that the market has been provided with the facility of road transport and transportation.

“The villagers, who have become leisurely after planting the rainy season, sell the vehicles they have picked up from the forest almost every day in the months of July and August,” he said. According to ward chair Garbuja, rs 2.5 million to Rs 3 million cash comes in annually.

Maya Kumari Pun, a nihuro collector of Dowa, said that the nihuro is being sold from the village at Rs 65 to Rs 70 per kg. “It has become a source of income for us,” he said, adding, “We have used our leisure time as well as raised income to manage our household expenses.” ’

According to the traders, vehicles coming to Beni from Dagnam, Chimkhola, Patlekhet, Muna and Hidi bring 500 kilograms of bowed down to Beni every day. Devendra Subedi, a vegetable and fruit trader from Beni, said that the people coming from the village are sent to Baglung, Kusma and Kathmandu.

“When we reach Beni, the price of running per kg ranges from Rs 100 to Rs 120,” he said. This time, only half of the village has come down compared to last year. The demand has not been met. ’

According to health workers, vitamins ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ are found in adequate amounts of iron. It is beneficial for those who have poor eyesight to eat regularly.

For heart and diabetes patients, bowels are also considered to be a very good diet. Consumers feel that eating vegetables benefits cancer patients, viral cough, cold and lung patients.
