The stock market fell by double digits, the transaction amount also declined.

Kathmandu. On the fourth trading day of the week, the stock market fell by double digits on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the NEPSE index fell by 47.93 points to 2,954.14 points. Along with the NEPSE index, the sensitive index fell by 10.75 points, the float index by 3.63 points and the sensitive float index by 3.74 points.

Today’s transaction amount has also decreased compared to Tuesday. On the previous trading day, shares worth Rs 18.5 billion were traded in the stock market today.

Out of the 13 sub-groups traded today, only one sub-group’s index has increased. The index of the remaining 12 sub-groups has decreased. Today, the index of other sub-groups has increased slightly. The index of microfinance sub-group fell the most by 3.28 percent. Similarly, the index of development bank sub-group has decreased by more than 3 percent, while the index of finance and hotel and tourism sub-group has decreased by more than 2 percent.

Shares of Sanvi Energy and Trade Tower, which were traded today, were traded at positive circuit levels. Today, the share price of Samata Domestic Microfinance Company has increased by more than 6.5 percent. Shares of Green Development Bank fell the most by 8.04 per cent during the day.

Himalayan Re-Insurance is at the highest position on this day in terms of transaction amount. Shares worth Rs 1.32 billion of the company were traded today. Shares of Himalayan Distillery worth more than Rs 730 million have been traded today.
