Myagdi. The District Infrastructure Development Office has upgraded 30 rural roads in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS.
Office Chief Bishnu Poudel said that out of the 37 Salbasali schemes with a budget of Rs 95 million, 29 have been executed through contract process and three by the consumer committee. An agreement was signed with the contractors and consumer committees for rs 59.08 million for the implementation of these schemes.
A budget of Rs 593.1 million has been allocated for 71 projects, including salbasali 37 related to widening of rural roads, grade and rotation improvement, construction of drains and retaining walls for drainage, blacktopping, slope and construction of motorable and suspension bridges.
Last year, 4.90 kilometers of blacktopping and slopes, 4.14 kilometers of gravel, 3.30 kilometers of new raw roads were constructed, 31.60 kilometers of roads were widened, 10.72 kilometers of drains and 31,029 cubic meters of tewa wall were constructed.
Similarly, 29 culvert causeways, 12.50 kilometers of road repair, one suspension, two motorable bridges and one building have been completed. In the last fiscal year, Rs 641.43 million was allocated, out of which Rs 471.49 million was spent.
