Kathmandu. In the Karnali Development Bank scam case, they have been linked to housing companies through cooperatives.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has reached out to housing companies through cooperatives. According to the investigation, Rashid Ahmed Qureshi, director of Kalika Housing Pvt. Ltd., is also the chairman of the board of directors of Mata Bageshwari Savings and Credit Co-operative.

On February 1, 2019, a cheque of Rs 10 million was deposited from kalika housing account no. 10 of Mata Bageshwari Savings and Credit Co-operative Ltd. The amount has been found to have been transferred to 00100700096432000001.

Sid Ahmad Qureshi owns The Operative Ltd. of Mata Bageshwari Savings and Credit. It has been found that rs 1.475 million was deposited in the bank’s account on March 15, 2018. Similarly, Reshi had withdrawn Rs 2.5 million from the same account on July 15, 2018.
