Taplejung. The construction and management of The Jonglung Monastery located at Tokpegola of Mikwakhola Rural Municipality-5 has run out of funds.

Initially, the reconstruction was started with the help of local, foreign donors and the budget of the rural municipality, but in the end, the amount has become insufficient. Work has been stalled due to lack of budget.

Guthi was established in 1905 BS for the conservation and operation of the monastery. The reconstruction was started in 2077 BS under the leadership of local Tenzing Sherpa. Sherpa was given Rs 4.5 million by Nepalis living in the US, Germany and other countries.

Stating that the work has been started with the money received, social activist Sherpa said that the work has been stopped due to lack of funds. He complained that there was a lack of funds to complete the plaster, floor, ceiling and other structures of the monastery. He urged donors to help.
