Tanahun. The revenue collection of the Land Revenue Office here has decreased in the last fiscal year 2081/82 BS. The revenue collection has decreased by Rs 33.14 million in 2081/82 as compared to the previous fiscal year.
According to the office, the revenue collected in the fiscal year 2080/81 was Rs 359.55 million, while rs 326.49 million was collected last year. Keshav Raj Subedi, chief of the office, said that revenue collection has been affected as most of the land is in agriculture due to low fees in land classification and high fees in housing.
He said, “Last year, the revenue collection increased due to the increase in land transactions after the local level started allotting the land, but in the last fiscal year, the transaction of land may have decreased. ’
