Kathmandu. The government has decided to accept grant assistance worth 2.8 billion Japanese yen from the Government of Japan for the emergency rehabilitation of the bp highway damaged by the floods.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on August 15. The government is going to take grant assistance from Japan for the construction of BP Highway, which was destroyed by floods a year ago.
The work on the 25-kilometer section of bp highway, which was damaged by the floods in September 2081, has already been forwarded by signing a contract agreement. A two-lane road is being constructed on 30.5 km of the flood-damaged road from Bhakundebesi to Nepalthok.
At present, the contract agreement has been signed by making three packages including two in Kavre and one in Sindhuli.
