Janakpurdham. The Madhes Province, Ministry of Labour and Transport Management, Janakpurdham, has collected a total revenue of Rs 3.47 billion in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS. According to the Ministry, the revenue was collected from eight district offices under the ministry under various heads including renewal of vehicles.
According to the Ministry, the office collected the revenue from various heads including distribution of driver’s license, renewal, registration of new vehicles, vehicle renewal and route permit, mutation and patkekar from July 2081 to July 2082.
According to the ministry, rs 117.59 million has been collected from the Transport Management Office, Rajbiraj, Rs 497.597 million from the Transport Management Office, Lahan, Rs 664.39 million from the Transport Management Office, Janakpurdham and Rs 265.157 million from the Transport Management Office, Bardibas.
Similarly, rs 119.44 million has been collected from transport management office Malangawa, Rs 89.17 million from Transport Management Office Gaur, Rs 99.38 million from Transport Management Office Kalaiya and Rs 1.62 billion from Transport Management Office Birgunj.
Similarly, Minister for Labour and Transport Management Kaushal Kishore Raya said that 100 percent exemption has been made in the penalty of tax levied under various heads of transportation this year.
Minister Rai said that in the last fiscal year, the Ministry of Labour and Transport of Madhes Province had made a provision to give 100 percent exemption to the fees levied on the penalty of vehicle tax and this arrangement would continue till November 15.
According to the office, the provision related to exemption in the Madhes State Motor Vehicles and Transport Management Act, 2081 bs was also published in the Gazette of Madhes Province on December 15. Under the Act, there is a provision to give 100 percent exemption on the penalty levied on the tax of vehicles.
The Act also provides for a one-time renewal of vehicles for a period of 15 years and a fee of five percent of the value of the vehicle will be charged for this purpose.
Discussions were also held on the problems and solutions seen in the office operation, management and act during the period, the minister said. During the same period, the ministry’s current expenditure was 48 percent and capital expenditure was 34.41 percent.
