Ilam Transport Office collects Rs 130 million more than revenue target

Ilam. The Transport Management Service Office, Ilam has collected more revenue than the target in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS. Office chief Khagendra Prasad Mainali informed that the office had set a target of collecting Rs 130 million revenue in a year. The office has collected Rs 24.94 million more revenue than the previous fiscal year.

This is an increase of 22.02 percent compared to the previous year. In the previous fiscal year 2080/81, the office had collected only Rs 113.26 million in revenue.

The office has collected Rs 99.6million from vehicle tax annually. It has collected Rs 7,203,555 from vehicle registration, mutation and renewal. Similarly, Rs 128,200 has been collected from business registration fee, office chief Mainali said.

Similarly, rs 3,785,590 has been collected from income tax. The office has collected Rs 14.3million from the driver’s license. Similarly, revenue of Rs 10.6million has been collected from the Vehicle Patke Road Permit Revenue Collection Centre set up at Pashupatinagar on the Nepal-India border. According to the office, rs 13.72 million revenue has been collected from route permit and patke from ilam headquarters office and Pashupatinagar.

The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development of Koshi Province had made a provision to charge Rs 510 for Indian four-wheelers and Rs 210 for motorcycles entering Nepal. The revenue collection centre was established in Pashupatinagar last year under the transport management service office.

Mainali said that although the scope of transport management service office here is Ilam, the eastern hilly districts of Panchthar and Taplejung, but service seekers including Jhapa also come to get the service related to driving license.
