Jhapa. The Infrastructure Development Office, Jhapa, has spent Rs 1.15 billion on capital expenditure in the last fiscal year 2081/82 BS. This expenditure is 88 percent of the amount allocated towards capital.
According to Uttam Narayan Kharel, information officer at the Infrastructure Development Office, a total of Rs 1.31 billion was allocated towards capital expenditure, including state resources, federal conditional and supplementary. “Out of rs 26.88 million allocated for the current fiscal year, Rs 22.326 million or 83 per cent has been spent, taking the total expenditure to 87.95 per cent,” he said.
Information Officer Engineer Kharel informed that the Infrastructure Development Office, which has two districts of Jhapa and Ilam, completed the construction of four motorable bridges in Jhapa and two in Ilam in the last fiscal year.
Similarly, blacktopping of 21 kilometers of roads, gravel of 35.66 kilometers of roads, repair of 3 kilometers of roads, 27.76 kilometers of raw roads, 5.75 kilometers of road soling and 1.85 kilometers of roads have been completed in the last fiscal year.
According to the Infrastructure Development Office, Jhapa, 27.85 km of two multi-year roads have been completed in Jhapa district.
