Kanchanpur. The Armed Police Force Nepal No. 35 battalion has collected revenue worth Rs 113.27 million from customs evasion goods in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS.
The Armed Police Force (APF) has collected almost three times more revenue than the previous fiscal year. Chief of Armed Police Force Nepal No. 35 Battalion Jhalari, Superintendent of Armed Police, Lokendra Dev Bhatta, said that the goods smuggled illegally into Nepal have been seized and handed over to the Customs Office for action.
According to him, customs evasion goods worth Rs 47.679 million were seized in the fiscal year 2080/81 BS. Superintendent of Armed Police Force Bhatta said, “We have been working hard to control the illegal smuggling from the border points.” There are 18 BOP posts and three security units along the border in Kanchanpur district, he said.
