Kathmandu. Prabhu Bank has released the financial status of the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year. The bank’s profit has improved dramatically in the same period of the last fiscal year as compared to the previous fiscal year.
The bank’s net profit increased by 965.40 percent to Rs 5.44 billion in mid-July 2018 as compared to mid-July 2018. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, it was Rs 518.56 million.
According to the bank, the interest income decreased by 39.46 percent to Rs 7.19 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year. Similarly, operating profit increased by 99.44 percent to Rs 6.28 billion.
The bank’s net profit stood at Rs 1.04 billion as of Mid-July. The bank has the capacity to pay dividend to shareholders at 4.44 percent.
The bank’s earnings per share is Rs 23.12 and net worth per share is Rs 162.
The bank’s bad loans increased from 4.94 percent to 4.96 percent. The bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 23.54 billion and a reserve fund of Rs 13.55 billion.
The bank collected deposits of Rs 342.18 billion and disbursed loans worth Rs 230.37 billion.
