Nepal Bank’s net profit rises to Rs 3.77 billion

Kathmandu. Nepal Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 3.77 billion in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year. This profit has increased by 13,175.89 percent compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, the bank had posted a profit of Rs 28.42 million.

During the period, the bank’s net interest income increased by 16.82 percent to Rs 10.08 billion. Similarly, the operating profit of the bank increased by 692.43 percent to Rs 5.41 billion. The bank’s improvement charge stood at Rs 4.75 billion in mid-July of the previous fiscal year. In the same period of the last fiscal year, it was Rs 1.13 billion.

The bank’s net profit is Rs 449 million. The ability to pay dividends is also negative by Rs 3.6. The bank’s earnings per share is Rs 25.68 and net worth per share is Rs 259.81.

The bank’s bad loans increased from 4.33 percent to 4.47 percent. The bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 14.69 billion and a reserve fund of Rs 23.48 billion. The bank, which collected deposits of Rs 332.21 billion, has invested Rs 2.21 billion in loans.
