26 political parties registered for by-election

Kathmandu. Rupandehi: The Election Commission (EC) has registered 26 political parties for the by-election to be held in Rupandehi constituency-3 on November 14.

Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Nita Pokharel Aryal said that out of the 27 political parties that came for party registration, 26 political parties have been registered as per the commission’s decision on Monday. According to him, the party has been registered for the by-election as per Article 271 of the Constitution of Nepal and Section 48 of the Political Parties Act, 2073 BS.

The Commission said that the Mongol National Organization was the first to be registered. Similarly, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Nepali Party for Nepal, Rastriya Mukti Andolan Nepal, Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepali Congress, Rastriya Janamorcha, Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre), Janademocratic Party Nepal and Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist Leninist) have been registered.

Likewise, Nepal Communist Party Marxist (Pushpalal), Samyukta Nagrik Party, CPN (Unified Socialist), Nepal Samajbadi Party (Naya Shakti), CPN(ML), Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, National Republic Nepal, Rastriya Mathrubhumi Party and Nepali Janata Dal have been registered.

Similarly, Rastriya Realist Party, Nepal, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Nepal Janamukti Party, Hamro Nepali Party, Bahujan Shakti Party, Khambuwan Rastriya Morcha and Nepal have been registered for the by-election. Making public the schedule of the by-election, the Commission has fixed October 12 as the date for filing nominations of candidates.
