Kathmandu. Similarly, Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Nawal Kishore Sah Sudi stressed the need of distributing social security allowance on the basis of economic status.

Responding to queries raised by lawmakers in today’s meeting of the National Assembly, Public Policy and Delegated Bill Committee, he said, “20 percent of the population in Nepal is below the poverty line, social security allowance should be given to them first, why should the parents of industrialist Binod Chaudhary be given allowance?, Why do my parents and wife need social security allowance. ’

He said that the economic condition of the state could not be sustained by giving social security allowance to all rich and poor. Minister Sudi also said that all the political parties used to increase the social allowance indiscriminately during his government without assessing the economic condition of the state.

“Now the budget for social security is in billions, can this state afford it, it started from Rs 100 for the rights of my party, rs 200 after my party came to power, another party came to the government 500, another party came to the government with Rs 1,000, another party came to the government with Rs 4,000, so nepal’s economic situation cannot sustain it, it cannot be sustained.” He said.

India, which ranks third in the world’s economic prosperity, gives only Rs 500 per person as social security allowance.
