Minister Khadka pledges to ensure power supply to Madhes province within 24 hours

Janakpur. Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka today inquired about the situation related to electricity and irrigation services in Janakpur.

Minister Khadka has directed a team led by Manoj Yadav, chief of The Electricity Authority’s Provincial Office, Janakpur, and Mitra Baral, Director General of the Department of Irrigation, to improve the electricity and irrigation services across the state according to the needs and aspirations of the people.

Minister Khadka said that electricity leakage in Madhes province is higher than other provinces and directed to take necessary steps to stop this problem immediately. He directed to fulfill the important responsibility of providing safe electricity supply by ensuring the safety of life and property of the citizens.

Minister Khadka directed the employees to work in line with the objective of ensuring 24-hour power supply to address the public complaints of frequent power outages in different areas of Madhes.

Stating that there is a policy for the Ministry to improve the functioning and to encourage those doing good work and punish the employees who do not fulfill their responsibilities, he directed them to fulfill their responsibilities and responsibilities on priority.

“There is a need to improve the power and irrigation sectors. We are committed to encouraging this work and improving the standard of living of the people,” he said.
