Kathmandu. Father of microfinance in Nepal Late Dr. The Economic Journalism Award instituted in the memory of Harihardev Panta will be presented to Yadav Humagain, a correspondent of The Economic Campaign daily, this year.

Earlier, the award was given to Gokarna Awasthi, full president of The Society of Economic Journalists of Nepal (SEJON), along with economic journalists Bishnu Belwase, Eliza Upreti, Mamta Thapa, Bijay Raj Khanal, Yagya Banjade and Krishna Rijal.

Various newspapers, radio, television, online news and journalists were honoured for their significant contribution to the country’s overall development as well as economic development through journalism.

Under the Harihardev Pant Economic Journalism Award Program, this year’s Dr. Sharma has been selected from among the journalists or organizations that disseminate and broadcast the message-oriented economic news of the economic sector.
