Illegal goods worth Rs 17.1 million seized in Rupandehi

Rupandehi. Rupandehi: Rupandehi police have seized illegal goods worth Rs 17.1 million. Police have arrested the jeep driver with revenue evasion goods.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Area Police Office, Lumbini and temporary police beat Mahilwar arrested the driver along with the revenue-evading goods from Mahilwar of Lumbini Cultural Municipality-10, said Information Officer at the District Police Office and Deputy Superintendent of Police Suraj Karki.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Karki informed that the jeep (Lu 2 Cha 6303) driven by Narayan Agrahari Baniya, 30, of Mayadevi Rural Municipality-4 was found without any bills.

The seized items included 27 cartons of flavors of different companies, e-vapes worth lakhs of rupees and other items. The driver has been sent to the Revenue Investigation Office, Butwal for further investigation and necessary action.
