Nepal exports 1,090.9 MW of electricity to India

Kathmandu. The Government of India has agreed to purchase 80 MW of electricity generated from two more hydropower projects in Nepal.

With this agreement, an additional 80 MW of electricity has been exported on August 15. India has agreed for 48.5 MW of power generated from Mewa Khola and 31.04 MW from Karuwa Seti Hydropower.

Earlier, 1090.9 MW was exported to India, including 1010.9 MW and the added 80 MW.

The Government of India had given permission for 200 MW of electricity on August 15.
