Kathmandu. In the last fiscal year 2081/82 BS, Nepal received Rs 1,723.27 billion.

In the fiscal year 2081/82, the remittance inflow increased by 19.2 percent to Rs 1,723.27 billion.

Remittance inflows had increased by 16.5 percent in the previous year. The remittance inflow for the month of July 2019 was Rs 189.11 billion. In the same month of the previous year, such inflow was Rs 117.78 billion.

Last year, remittance inflows in US dollars increased by 16.3 percent to Rs 12.64 billion. In the previous year, such inflows had increased by 14.5 percent.

During this period, the net second income (net transfer) has reached Rs 1,874.30 billion. In the previous year, such income was Rs 1,571.24 billion. A total of 505,957 Nepalis have taken the final labour permit (institutional and individual-new) for foreign employment till mid-July and 333,309 have taken re-labour permit. Last year, the number was 460,102 and 281,195 respectively.
