Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has made a provision to provide loans to manufacturing industries and hotel restaurants along the two highways by adding only 2 percent premium to the base rate. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has asked manufacturing industries and hotels and restaurants operating along the postal highway and mid-hill highways to invest in loans by adding up to 2 percent premium to the base rate.

According to the guidelines related to upgrading hotels and restaurants on the basis of food hygiene by the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control, manufacturing industries up to Rs 30 million operating in the areas around the Postal Highway and Mid-Hill Highway, hotels and restaurants that have obtained certificates related to food hygiene stratification should be increased by a maximum of two percent in the base rate and fixed the interest rate on loans.
