Livestock Service Centre to be constructed at Temkemaiung at a cost of Rs 30 million

Bhojpur. The state-of-the-art Agriculture and Livestock Service Centre has been constructed at a cost of Rs 32.1 million in Temkemaiung Rural Municipality. The building, constructed through the Economic Corridor Pakhribas, has come into operation with state-of-the-art laboratories, equipment and well-equipped arrangements.

Rural municipality vice-chair Ramadevi Rai said that the well-equipped building would directly contribute to the development of agriculture and animal husbandry sector of the rural municipality. According to him, the building with modern equipment has opened a new door in the solution and research of various problems along with service delivery.

“A well-equipped agriculture and livestock service centre has come into operation in the rural municipality,” rai said, adding, “It will not only contribute to service delivery but also to research and disease control.” ’

Rural municipality chair Saroj Basnet said the construction of the building would help in the development of agriculture and livestock sectors. He said that the building with modern equipment would make it easier to find and research the diseases seen in the agriculture-animal husbandry sector here and take the method of treatment. “The rural municipality has become a model building in a short span of time” said Basnet, adding, “This building will play an important role in fulfilling the target set by the rural municipality in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry.” ’

Chief Administrative Officer Adit Dahal said it would be easier to identify diseases and insects as there are separate agricultural and animal laboratories inside the building. He said that if there is any epidemic in the future, it is possible to take immediate steps by conducting this test.

Purna Prasad Rai, ward chair of Temkemaiung-3, Annapurna, said the construction of the building has made it easier to provide services to the people of the rural municipality. He said that the role should be played to make the services provided from the building citizen-friendly.

Chief of Economic Corridor Office Pakhribas, Dr Indra Narayan Shah, said that all necessary equipment from laboratory to furniture have been installed in the building. As the building is disabled-friendly, farmers of the rural municipality hope that the building will directly benefit from this building in agriculture and animal disease research, treatment and production enhancement.
