Damauli. Drinking water facility has been extended to 3,000 households in the district in the last one year. The Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office has extended drinking water facilities to 2,927 households in the district in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS.
According to Office Chief Shambhu Raj Khanal, 2,221 houses have been provided drinking water facility through the Gandaki state government, 226 through the federal government’s conditional program and 480 houses through special grants. In the previous fiscal year, 2,000 households in the district had access to drinking water.
Khanal said the office aims to extend drinking water facility to 4,300 households in the district in the fiscal year 2082/83 BS. A budget of Rs 430.2 million was allocated for the office in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS, out of which Rs 394.69 million has been spent.
