Bank allocates Rs 10.61 billion bonus to employees: Nabil’s highest, NIC Asia’s lower

Kathmandu. In the last fiscal year, 20 commercial banks have set aside Rs 10.61 billion to provide bonus to their employees.

The amount allocated by the commercial bank for the employees’ bonus is 9.72 percent more than the mid-June of the previous fiscal year. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, the banks had allocated Rs 9.67 billion for the employees’ bosan. The bank had given bonus to the employees.

According to the Bonus Act, 10 percent of the profit should be set aside for employee bonus. As per the arrangement, 20 banks have allocated Rs 10.61 billion for employees. In the last fiscal year, the bank’s profit increased by 43.39 percent to Rs 71.51 billion compared to the previous fiscal year. The profit of the banks increased by 43.39 percent, while the bonus given to the employees increased by 9.72 percent.

Out of the 20 commercial banks, six banks have reduced the amount of bonus given to the employees while the remaining 14 banks have increased this amount. Nabil Bank has allocated the highest amount for employees’ bonus while NIC Asia Bank has the lowest amount.

Nabil Bank has set aside Rs 1.14 billion for employee bonus. This amount is 5.62 percent more than the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Similarly, After Nabil, Nepal Investment Mega Bank has set aside a lot of money for the employees for bonus. The bank has set aside Rs 1.06 billion as bonus. This amount is 30.89 percent more than the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Nabil Bank and Nepal Investment Mega Bank are the only banks to set aside more than a billion rupees for the employees. The rest is less than a billion of banks.

Global IME Bank has set aside Rs 976 million. This amount is 2.53 percent more than the same period of the previous fiscal year. Similarly, Everest Bank has set aside Rs 827.1 million. This amount is 32.98 percent more than the same period of the previous fiscal year. Prime Bank has set aside Rs 659.8 million as bonus for its employees. This amount is 9.40 percent more than the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Similarly, Kumari Bank’s employee bonus has increased by 47.16 percent to Rs 642.3 million, Laxmi Sunrise Bank’s employee bonus has increased by 35.09 percent to Rs 640.9 million, Siddhartha Bank’s allocation for employees has increased by 15.53 percent to Rs 559.6 million.

Nmb Bank increased the amount allocated for employees by 40.44 percent to Rs 521.7 million, Sanima Bank by 6.11 percent to Rs 395.4 million, Machhapuchchhre Bank by 49.65 percent to Rs 322.7 million, Krishi Bikas Bank by 10.47 percent to Rs 307.9 million, Rastriya Banijya Bank by 2.92 percent. The amount allocated by Nepal Bank for its employees increased by 87.55 percent to Rs 285.4 million.

Prabhu Bank has set aside Rs 700.5 million for employees’ bonus. This amount is 10.62 percent less than the same period of the previous fiscal year. Standard Chartered Bank has reduced the amount allocated for employees by 3.66 per cent to Rs 506 million, Nepal SBI Bank by 5.87 per cent to Rs 301.1 million, Himalayan Bank by 48.44 per cent to Rs 231.8 million, Citizens Bank by 11.90 per cent to Rs 204.2 million and NIC Asia Bank by 88.78 per cent. ।
