Kathmandu. The government has decided to appoint ChandraKuwer Khapung as the next Director General of Nepal Police.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today decided to appoint Khapung as the 32nd Inspector General of Police of Nepal Police. With this decision of the government, Khapung will become the Inspector General of Police from August 15.
Deepak Thapa, the current Inspector General of Nepal Police, is retiring after completing 30 years of service on August 15. Thapa was appointed director general on March 1, 2017. Khapung had started his service as a police inspector on October 27, 2052.
