Kathmandu. Prem Hari Mainali has been elected unopposed as the president of Nepal Distributors Association. The 24th General Assembly of the Association held on Saturday unanimously elected a new working committee under the leadership of Mainali.
Nawaraj Dahal has been elected as senior vice-president, Keshav Prasad Mainali as vice-president, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina as general secretary, Ashok Kumar Kandel as secretary, Dinesh Mani Risal as treasurer and Ramesh Prajapati as joint treasurer.
Binod Adhikari, Bhoj Prasad Phuyal (Umesh), Deepak Ghimire, Kapil Regmi, Nilkantha Dhakal, Ram Prasad Dhakal, Phanindra Khadka (Development), Rukesh Maharjan, Kiran Karki, Bhuwan Shrestha, Prabin Kumar Karmacharya, Santosh Poudel, Subodh Jha, Ganesh Karki and Jairam Lavju have been elected as working committee members. RamHari Ghimire will be the ex-officio member.
Member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Finance Committee Santosh Chalise was the chief guest at the programme. Prem Hari Mainali, who has been elected as the president of the 24th General Assembly of the Association, has expressed gratitude to all the members who unanimously elected him as the chairman.
“I would like to express my gratitude to all my friends who trusted me and unanimously elected the president,” he said. He has pledged to work actively in the field of rights of distribution business by taking all the working committees along. He pledged to work with the first priority to solve the policy problems including traffic problems, credit problems.
Mainali said that the contribution of the distributors is important in making the imported and manufactured consumer goods going to the market through the distributors and making the economic sector dynamic. “The distribution business has made a positive contribution in making Nepal’s economic sector vibrant,” he said, adding that the state should also give priority to this business. ’
