Birgunj. The ‘Nepal-India Cross Border Media Conclave 2025’ organized by Media for Border Harmony, Nepal concluded here today by issuing a 17-point declaration. Issuing the declaration of the conclave, journalist Kranti Shah said that the conclave would explore and make public the common issues between the two countries and take initiatives to address those issues by the governments and concerned bodies of both the countries.
Similarly, the manifesto includes protecting the media from the problem of misinformation and disinformation, being active for factual ‘reporting’, highlighting the real problems of the citizens of both countries, becoming sensitive to issues that may create conflict or disharmony in the society.
On the occasion, former chairman of Madhes State Mass Communication Authority Shyam Sundar Yadav urged the government to continue such constructive programmes in the days to come.
Amrendra Tiwari, President of Media for Border Harmony, India, said that such conferences would be held regularly in the coming days to further expand the relations between the two countries.
On the occasion, Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Kumar Yadav stressed the need of further strengthening nepal-India relations. He said that the declaration adopted by the conclave should play a supportive role in creating an environment for further expansion of relations between the two countries.
On the occasion, Minister Yadav urged some Indian media to be comfortable with problems while spreading various kinds of rumors that would spoil the relations between Nepal and India.
