Gulmi. Kathmandu: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has changed the flight schedule to Gulmi. Earlier, nac had been operating flights four times a week on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, but now it will operate only once a week for some time.
Station chief of Resunga Airport, Suman Thapa, said that there have been four flights in the past, but now only one day will be operated on Thursday for some time. He said that the regular schedule had to be changed as two twin otter aircraft of the CORPORATION were grounded and only one aircraft was in operation at present.
Due to inclement weather, flights could not be regular here for about one and a half months. Due to bad weather and dense fog, flights are frequently affected in the district.
Nac has scheduled a flight from Kathmandu to Kathmandu at 6.30 am and from here at 7.30 am on an 18-seater twin otter aircraft. Similarly, the fare from Kathmandu to Gulmi has been fixed at Rs 7,500 and from Gulmi to Kathmandu at Rs 7,300.
Nac had started commercial flights here from May 1, 2080 BS.
