Kathmandu. Speaker Devraj Ghimire administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly elected President of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee of the Federal Parliament RamHari Khatiwada. Khatiwada took oath of office before the Speaker at a programme held at the Federal Parliament Secretariat in Singha Durbar.

Khatiwada was elected unopposed in the election held on Friday. On the occasion, Speaker Ghimire honoured Khatiwada.

National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal, Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, National Assembly Vice-Chair Bimala Ghimire, UML Chief Whip and Nepali Congress Chief Whip, Parliamentary Committee Chairmen and lawmakers were present on the occasion.

According to the constitution, the newly elected parliamentary committee president has to take oath before the Speaker before assuming office.
