Kathmandu. Security has been tightened in all three districts of Kathmandu Valley. Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Chhabi Rijal, said that necessary security arrangements have been made since Sunday amid talk of the ‘Zenji’ generation’s demonstration and accordingly, security personnel have been mobilized on the basis of need since morning.
According to him, drone surveillance is also being done keeping in mind the possibility of unwanted activities. CDO Rijal said, “It also has a ‘record’ and we are monitoring through drones so that effective steps can be taken to control any incident.”
Spokesperson of The Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari, Senior Superintendent of Police Shekhar Khanal said that proper security arrangements have been made in all the three districts based on the need.
Spokesperson Khanal said, “We have prepared a security plan and mobilized it, we have deployed all the duties and the command post has been mobilized.” Security surveillance has been stepped up in the Valley following publicity that the Zenji generation is scheduled to stage a demonstration in the Valley today against the ban imposed on social media.
