Gulmi. The Kaligandaki Corridor road section has been obstructed due to landslide triggered by incessant rainfall since Wednesday night. The Kaligandaki Corridor road has come to a halt since Monday night after a landslide occurred at Rakse of Kaligandaki rural municipality-2 in Gulmi.

A police team from Purtighat police post was mobilized to resume the road in the morning after receiving information about the obstruction, police said. Ganga Bahadur Saru, information officer at the District Police Office, Gulmi, said it has been difficult to clear the debris of landslide accumulated on the road due to incessant rain.

Vehicular movement from Parbat, Baglung, Ridi to Palpa and Butwal via the road has been disrupted due to the obstruction. Information Officer Saru said that the local construction company Kalika Construction has kept the equipment ready to clear the landslide once the rain stops. The road is frequently blocked due to landslides.
