Kathmandu. The CPN-UML has said that a political solution to the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli should be sought through constitutional and democratic means.
Issuing a press release today, CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel drew the attention of the President to initiate meaningful dialogue and take leadership initiatives as per the spirit of the constitution.
The UML has also said that the concerns of the younger generation should be addressed.
“The party is clear that the political way out after the resignation of the Prime Minister should be found in a constitutional and democratic way. “The concerns of the younger generation such as good governance, end of nepotism, rapid development and employment generation should be addressed,” reads the statement. ’
In such a situation, the federal parliament, judiciary, provincial assemblies, provincial governments and local levels have been urged to play constructive role in safeguarding democracy.
The CPN-UML has said that the entire nation is shocked by these developments which have pushed the country back for decades in terms of development. The party has expressed deep concern over the terrible destruction suffered by the nation. They have demanded that the culprits be identified and strict legal action should be taken.
“The organisers had previously announced that their demonstration would be peaceful. After the incident, they were told that they were not involved in such incidents of arson, looting and vandalism. “The organizers must conduct a thorough investigation into who carried out such destructive and destructive incidents against the plan and bring out the truth,” reads the statement. There should also be a review of why the security agencies of the state have not been effective in preventing such a massive destruction. ’
Taking advantage of the unusual situation, incidents of looting, arson and vandalism are still taking place in various parts of the country. “We have drawn the serious attention of all security agencies including the Nepal Army to control such criminal activities, ensure the safety of life and property of citizens and protect public and private property,” the statement reads.
The Federal Parliament, the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Singha Durbar, the Supreme Court, the Office of the Attorney General, most of the police offices, the Gautam Buddha International Airport, constitutional bodies including the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) and various government offices across the country have been destroyed.
Valuable and rare records, documents and documents have been destroyed in the fire. Media houses, hotels, department stores, cable cars, showrooms of vehicles, banks and public and private properties worth billions of rupees have been destroyed.
More than 13,000 inmates have broken into jails and released from jail, posing a serious threat to peace and security. Political party leaders, cadres and offices were targeted.
