Prohibitory order from 10 am to 5 pm, curfew from 7 pm to 6 am the next day

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army has pointed out the need to continue the prohibitory order and curfew order by gradually relaxing it. Based on the analysis of the latest security situation, the prohibitory order and curfew issued in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts would be relaxed.

According to the Army Directorate of Public Relations and Information, the prohibitory order will be in force from 10 am to 5 pm on September 10. The curfew will be in place from 7 pm on September 12 to 6 am on September 10.

According to the directorate, the people will be allowed to travel from 6 am to 10 am on September 10 and from 5 pm to 7 pm on the same day for essential work. Ambulances, hearse, fire trucks, health workers, security personnel and media personnel as well as vehicles carrying food, fuel, milk, vegetables, water and medicines will be allowed to ply during the prohibitory order and curfew.

During this period, employees working in government offices, banks and financial institutions and public corporations can commute to and from the office by showing their identity cards. Similarly, passengers of domestic and international flights can travel to and from the airport by showing their flight tickets.

The NA has urged all concerned to coordinate with the security personnel to provide necessary assistance. In case of those outside the Kathmandu Valley, it will be done as per the decision and coordination made by the District Security Committees as per the security situation of the concerned district.

The NA has appealed to all to extend support to the security personnel in their discharge of their responsibilities while remaining committed to the security and rescue of the common Nepalis at all costs.
