Kanchanpur. So far, 124 prisoners who escaped from Kanchanpur jail during the Jenji agitation have been returned.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Sagar Bohara, said that 103 prisoners out of 479 inmates and inmates were returned to prison today alone. “We took some of them under control and handed them over to the prison. According to him, 21 inmates had not escaped from the prison. A total of 355 inmates are still absconding.
There were 479 inmates in the jail, including 453 male and 26 female. Of them, 169 were drug-related cases.
