Kathmandu. From today, the exchange of dry notes for Dashain has started. The exchange of dry notes will be from September 10 to September 29.

The facility can be purchased from the NRB’s Currency Management Department in Thapathali and its provincial offices in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Pokhara, Siddharthanagar, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi.

Similarly, most of the commercial banks are also providing the facility of exchanging dry notes. Although the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has been exchanging new notes during Dashain, it has been exchanging only dry notes for the past few years.
