Gandaki. Pokhara—Festival-targeting shops are to come into operation in Pokhara from today. Kaushal Ghimire, chief of Food Management and Trading Company Limited Gandaki Province Office, Pokhara, said that the fair price shops will be opened from today till October 26 targeting the approaching Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals.

According to him, the discount shop will be opened from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the provincial office in Birauta, Pokhara. As part of the agreement, the office will provide steamed jeera fine rice at Rs 83 per kg, Aruwa Sona Mansuli rice at Rs 59 per kg, Aruwa Sona Mansuli rice (FR) at Rs 85 per kg, Aruwa Sona Mansuli rice (FR) at Rs 59 per kg, sugar at Rs 95 per kg and eldest old old rice at Rs 245 per kg.

Similarly, the price of Aruwa Basmati rice will be provided at Rs 120 per kg, Chino at Rs 255 per kg, Kaguno at Rs 255 per kg and Jumla Marsi at Rs 225 per kg.
