“Our serious attention has been drawn to the misleading and speculative news material appearing online, print and social media over the past few days featuring Gen Z leader Sudan Gurung, Chairman of Infinity Holdings Deepak Bhatt and Director of Shanker Group Sahil Agrawal. ” the statement said.
In the press release, Shankar Group had joined hands with an organization named ‘Hami Nepal’ with the objective that we should rise above commercial religion and do virtuous deeds in the service of humanity. “During that time, we extended a helping hand in the treatment and rehabilitation of thousands of distressed mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters, which saved thousands of lives, and we are proud of that. ” the statement said.
“I got acquainted with ‘Hami Nepal’ and its leader Sudan Gurung during the coronavirus pandemic,” reads the statement. At that time, they were selected as operational partners to help the Nepalis affected by the coronavirus. At present, Shankhar Group has no cooperation with the organization.
The group has said that the money raised under its social responsibility (CSR) has helped the company at that time. Similarly, the organization has also used the logo of the organization that has been contributing to the organization in a transparent manner on its website. Since then, the group has said that it has not collaborated with the organization or individuals.
Similarly, the group has said that the protests led by the Gen-Z group on September 23 and 24 have brought about a new change in the country. “Dozens of Nepali citizens attained martyrdom during this movement, and we express our heartfelt tribute to all of them. We wish speedy recovery to all those injured during the agitation. ” the statement said.
