Kathmandu. The government has urged industrialists to move ahead with high morale.
Secretaries at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Dr Ram Prasad Ghimire and Krishna Bahadur Raut, during the meeting with the representatives of the private sector stressed on the need of support from the private sector to take the country forward in a new way. They also expressed commitment that the Ministry was committed to provide necessary support to the private sector to move forward from the existing situation.
The secretaries assured that there would not be any shortage of food items as there was sufficient stock of food items in view of the upcoming festivals. They urged the producers, importers, transporters, sellers and all stakeholders not to hoard goods causing demand÷supply and demand.
The Ministry has urged the general public not to hoard goods unnecessarily as it is not expected to have much impact on the supply chain. KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has urged the private sector to resume their industries and business as the situation is returning to normal.
Stating that the Korala transit point has been opened to facilitate imports, the Ministry said efforts were underway to open Tatopani transit point. Secretary duo Ghimire and Raut said that the checkpoints towards the south have also come into operation regularly.
On the occasion, CNI President Birendra Raj Pandey stressed on the need of collaboration and coordination with all sides to create conducive environment for revitalizing the country’s economy.
Incidents of arson, loot and vandalism at the private residences and buildings of manufacturing industries, hotels and retail chains, and small businesses and industrialists, he said, however, efforts have been made to rise up with new encouragement. The private sector was committed to working closely with the government and stressed on the need of making the private sector confident.
