Kathmandu. In the first month of the current fiscal year, the transaction of commercial banks has increased.
Interbank transactions of commercial banks increased in the month of July, while other banks and financial institutions declined.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the inter-bank transactions of commercial banks stood at Rs 87.49 billion in the first month of the fiscal year 2082/83.
According to the NRB, the amount of other financial institutions (excluding commercial banks) is Rs 7.45 billion. The inter-bank transactions of commercial banks and other banks and financial institutions stood at Rs 94.94 billion in the review period.
According to the NRB, the inter-bank transactions of commercial banks stood at Rs 51.50 billion in the same period last year. Similarly, other financial institutions had Rs 65 crore. According to the NRB, inter-bank transactions amounted to Rs 52.15 billion.
Currently, the interest rate on interbank transactions stands at 2.74 percent. Similarly, the loan-deposit ratio is 76.37 percent.
