Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the monsoon trough is located around the average place in Nepal at present.

According to the Division, the weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country today. Likewise, moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of the hilly region including Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places of the rest of the country. Heavy rain is predicted at one or two places of the hilly and terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly region including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces while it will be partly cloudy in the rest of the Tarai region. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of the rest of the country.

The Division has forecast that there is a risk of occurrence of landslide and debris flow due to rainfall, the water level in big and small rivers and rivulets may rise, affecting the transport sector.
