Kathmandu. A massive peace rally has been organised this morning to mark the Constitution Day. The rally that started from Maitighar of Kathmandu passed through Bhadrakali, Sahid Dwar, Tripureshwor and Thapathali before converging into a mass meeting.
The program was attended by constitutional experts, journalists, lawyers, human rights activists, teachers, intellectuals and citizens from different walks of life. The participants of the rally had displayed placards that read ‘Let’s protect the constitution’, ‘Let’s maintain good governance’ and ‘Let’s establish peace’.
This day is celebrated in commemoration of the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal on September 19, 2015. The participants of the rally stressed on the need of amending and amending the constitution as per the time.
President Ram Chandra Poudel is attending the Constitution Day function at the Army Pavilion, Tundikhel today.
