Bhojpur. The daily life of the locals has changed with the extension of central electricity to the remote areas of Temkemaiyung, which is geographically remote. It has been easier for the locals after the expansion of central electricity in the villages located in the geographically remote areas of the district.
Local residents have made their lives easier by using electricity. The Lungin settlement of Ward No. 4, Nagi which is known as a remote area of the rural municipality, has also become easier with the expansion of electricity. Electricity service has been expanded in this settlement in the middle of the forest with a huge investment.
Ram Bahadur Rai, a local of Temkemaiyung-4, Lungin said the expansion of electricity has eased the life of the villagers. “Our village got electricity after the operation of the local government”, he said, adding, “It has become easier to live with the expansion of facilities despite being geographically remote.” Now the compulsion to live in darkness has ended. ’
Baliraj Rai, a local, said people of the area have access to information and communication after the expansion of electricity. Rai said that the use of electronic devices has also made life easier. “We are very happy to have electricity in a remote village like ours,” he said, adding, “Now we are able to access the internet and watch television in the village.” Access to information has become easier. The village has become bright. Children have been able to read easily in the light. ’
According to him, one has to travel three to four hours through jungle to reach Annapurna rural municipality and other villages from here. Spread over an area of 173.41 square kilometres, all the people of the rural municipality have access to electricity. Power supply has been expanded in all nine wards of the district.
