Two industries added in Hetauda Industrial Area

Bagmati. Hetauda Industrial Area in Makwanpur district has been increasing in the recent period. In this connection, two more industries are coming into operation in the industrial zone.

Ramesh Raj Nepal, information officer at the Industrial Area Management Office, informed that Himalaya ACP Boards Pvt Ltd (to manufacture aluminum boards) and Tika Industries Pvt Ltd (chocolate industry) will start production within some days. Information Officer Nepal said that the agreement of two industries that have been closed for a long time has been canceled and the agreement has been made to operate these two industries in the same place. “Operators have been preparing to operate the industries immediately after the agreement”, he said, adding, “These industries will come into operation within a week or two”. ’

Prior to this, Lucky Poly Industries had been manufacturing plastic goods and Total Packaging Pvt Ltd had been manufacturing plastic bags since last April. Three Star Group has been manufacturing painted and plain corrugated sheets since January 2081 while Baba Manufacture Pvt Ltd has been manufacturing tin boxes.

According to him, 13 industries of different types are under construction in the industrial zone at present. According to him, most of the industries under construction are in the final phase of construction. Similarly, the Supreme Metal Industry, which was closed for a long time, has also started production by cutting iron, said Information Officer Nepal.

He said that coordination is being made with the other five industries to operate the remaining five industries which have remained closed due to various reasons. According to him, Dynasty Distillery, Green Gold International Pvt Ltd, South Asian Polypipe Pvt Ltd and Baniya Multi Products Pvt Ltd are preparing to resume operations.

Established with the financial assistance of the US government on December 3, 2020, a total of 146 industries and establishments are operating their business by renting land in the industrial zone. Spread over 3,228 ropanis of land, the industrial area is home to food industry, United Brewery (beverages), Gorkha Brewery Company, Asian Paints, Animal Feed Industry and Cartoon Industry.

Similarly, the government-owned Hetauda Milk Distribution Project, the Province Food and Quality Control Office, the Province Seed Company, the Province Soil Testing Office, the Area Police Office and the Nepal Bank Limited Hetauda branch are in operation.

Currently, 2,178 ropanis of land has been leased out, 26.52 ropanis of vacant land and 597 ropanis of land used by utility services for the construction of road network, electrification, drainage and other infrastructures.
