Myagdi. MYAGDI: A passenger help desk has been set up at Kalipul Bus Park in Beni, the district headquarters of Myagdi, on Monday. Long and short route vehicles are operated from Kalipul Bus Park to Myagdi.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Bahadur Thapa said the help desk has been set up at the premises of the traffic office in view of the approaching festivals.
He said that the help desk was established with an objective of helping and facilitating the pilgrims, tourists and transport entrepreneurs visiting Mustang along with the general public.
There will be regular presence of security personnel at the help desk during the Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals. DSP Thapa further informed that the help desk would be set up at Darwang, the centre of Malika rural municipality, to eliminate the problems common passengers face while travelling by public vehicles as part of the security plan targeting the festivals.
On the occasion, Acting Chief of District Coordination Committee, Myagdi, Dil Kumari Khatri, and Chief District Officer Badri Prasad Tiwari urged transport entrepreneurs and security personnel to make arrangements for easy and safe travel of the people during the festival time.
Assistant Sub Inspector Bishal Pariyar, who is also the chief of the District Traffic Police Office Myagdi, said that the help desk has also been run and regular checking has been done so as to minimize road accidents.
