Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two persons with seven pistols, six magazines and 33 rounds of SLR bullets from the parking lot of Car Wash Centre at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16.

The arrestees have been identified as Hira Bahadur Magar, 30, of Udayapur Gadhi Rural Municipality-8 and currently residing in Lolang of Tarakeshwor Municipality-5 and Laxman Shrestha, 28, of Manthali Municipality, Ramechhap and currently residing in Bohretar of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16.

A team of police deployed from Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari and Police Circle, Balaju searched the taxi (Ba Pra 01-002 Pa 6449) and arrested two persons after finding the arms concealed inside the trunk of the taxi (Ba Pra 01-002 Pa 6449), he added. ’

Police arrested Hira Bahadur Magar and Laxman Shrestha today and confiscated seven pistols, six magazines, 33 rounds of bullets used in SLR rifles, a walkie-key hand set battery and other materials from them, Chand said.

Police said necessary investigation was underway in connection with the recovered weapon.
