Kathmandu. The grand finale of the much-awaited e-sports PUBG 2025 PUBG series has officially kicked off.

The open qualifier of the tournament had started from August 26. With a total prize money of 5,000 US dollars, the series saw enthusiastic participation from more than 11,000 players from all over the country. The top 16 best performing teams will get a chance to participate in the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge to be held in December 2025.

Structure and Concept of the Contest

Organized for the local community, this e-sports tournament has provided a real platform for the new generation of gamers to showcase their talent and gain a competitive experience.

For the first time this year, a franchise-style format has been adopted, where the top 16 teams will compete for the national title and collaborate with renowned gaming creators and content personalities. It will blend competitive discipline with influencer-focused participation.

Inclusion Initiative: Girls-Only Show–Match

Taking a historic step towards inclusivity, PUBG Mobile has organized the Girls-Only Show-Match for the first time in Nepal in the finals. A total of 16 women’s teams will compete in the exhibition. The participating teams will be awarded with Rs 25,000.

The move aims to send out the message that there is no gender discrimination in eSports talent and also encourage wider participation within the growing gaming community in Nepal.
